1.3 Editing Customer Records

 

To edit customer records, click on the customer’s name or the ‘View’ button on the Customer List page.

 

 

1.       This page is similar to the page used to add new customers.

2.       You can create a new sales order for this customer by clicking on ‘New Order’. (Please refer to section 1.4 Placing a New Sales Order for the steps)

3.       You can view this customer’s sales history by clicking on ’Sales History’. This will bring you to a summary of previous items bought and returned by the customer. (Please refer to section 1.5 Sales History for the steps)

4.       To add/edit this customer’s EMAS.net login account, click on ‘View Customer Login Account’. (Please refer to section 7.4 Security for the steps)

5.       You can view the customer’s past transaction by clicking on the ‘Transactions’ list.

 

 

6.       These are shortcuts that allow you to view transactions for this client. It links back to Sales Orders, Bills, Payments & Credits etc.

 

 

7.       You can also have access to a customer’s Statement of Account for the past 6 months.

8.       Simply choose the month for the statement you wish to view. (Refer to 1.6 Statement of Account)

9.       Clicking on the ‘Inactive Customer’ checkbox allows you to designate the customer as inactive. This will hide the customer from the Customer List display by default.

10.   Clicking on the links ‘Telephone No. 1’ & ‘Telephone No. 2’ will automatically launch Skype (VoIP application) if you have it installed. It will initiate a call to the number or username in the respective fields.

 

 

11.   Clicking on the ‘Website’ link will open the customer’s website in a new window.

 

 

12.   Click on ‘Save’ to save any changes you have made to the customer’s profile.
